The Best DJ Mixing Apps - iOS, Android, Mobile, PC
The old saying goes - "the best DJ setup is the one you have on you". While mobile DJing apps don't have the same level of power as PC DJ software, sometimes it's the only option - and there are still some good ones out there.
I'm a pretty big fan of mobile DJ apps when the time is right - it can be a lot of fun to mess around on a phone or tablet during long journeys and mix music on the move.
I've tried all of the main DJ app downloads in my time - and I've worked out which ones are great, and which should be avoided. In this list, I'm going to share my favorite DJ mixing apps for iOS, Android, phones, tablets, and even a couple for PC, so you can start mixing wherever you are!

The Best DJ Apps for Mobile - Android and iOS#
These are my favorite DJ apps for iOs and Android. I've included download links for each version - enjoy! Most of them are free DJ apps, but some have in-app purchases to unlock all the features.
1) DJ.Studio#
This cutting-edge new DJ tool gives you a unique way to make DJ mixes with seamless transitions on the go and doesn't need a controller. You can make mixes with Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and your downloaded songs
I like the way that DJ.Studio gives you a new way to make mixes. Rather than needing to use a controller or deck-style interface, you can quickly turn a playlist into a seamless mix using the timeline editor and smart mix controls.
While there isn't an official app for DJ.Studio yet, you can use it in your browser, and it still gives you all the features!
2) edjing Mix#
A household name in the mobile DJ community, edjing gives you seamless mixing controls for your favorite music.
I think edjing has some of the best features out of the traditional DJ apps. The interface is clean and easy to use, but I'd say that it still has the depth you need for a good performance.
3) WeDJ#
Made by the same parent company as rekordbox and Pioneer, WeDJ is a streamlined and beginner-friendly DJ app to mix your favorite songs. It can even mix tracks from Beatport Streaming and Soundcloud Go+.
I love the way WeDJ looks and feels, it's responsive and easy to use. It's also made by Alpha Theta, so I'm naturally a big fan!
4) DJ Rekordbox App#
With powerful integrations and professional features, the #1 club DJ software is now on mobile, and can be used with many popular DJ controller hardware. Use it to remix songs, DJ for parties, and record mixes.
Rekordbox is my favorite live DJing software that I've used professionally for years, and I think the accompanying mobile app has a bunch of great features, and feels very familiar to me.
5) Cross DJ #
This simple DJ app lets you mix, scratch, and play your music like a DJ on the go.
I've used Cross DJ a few times, and I have to say that the experiences it offers is pretty decent, although there are some limitations.
6) Alogriddim djay#
This fully-featured DJ app has all the tools you need to make mixes, and comes with a bunch of cool extra features!
I like Algoriddim djay, although I'm not a huge fan of the pricing structure or design of the app, but it still has some neat features.
Finally...#
If you're looking to start DJing on the move, I'd recommend trying out any of the DJ apps above. DJ.Studio is definitely my favorite for making mixes, but when I'm mixing live I like to use the rekordbox app or edjing mix.
